Most browsers automatically shows the most used links, so aside from the requested other options to sort by created date, etc. this should show on the side bar or anywhere that's always clickable to make it handy.

While the favorite tags would ideally have all of our most used links, in reality we visit other sites too that we do not necessarily track and aware of visiting multiple times.
